Club History
Albury Thunder was originally founded as the Albury Blues in 1934, playing in the Group 13 Rugby League competition, in which they won 8 titles. Albury Roo’s were also in the Group 13 competition and were fierce rivals of the Blues.
In 1991, Group 13 folded and they moved to Group 9 and changed their name to Albury Southern Rams.
In 2004 the club took on a new image, affiliating with the Lavington Panthers Club, taking on the name Lavington Panthers Rugby League Club Inc, with a new playing strip that of the NRL Penrith Panthers side.
In 2010 the members decided and voted on changing the name to Albury Rugby League and have named the team and the team is now known as Albury Thunder. The Albury Thunder Rugby League Football Club home ground is Greenfield Park, Albury.
